At Carbon-Monkey we have years of experience riding the finest trails all across the UK and love nothing more than to show some of them off. From killer loops across Dartmoor, to summit bagging on Snowdon and epic wilderness singletrack in Torridon, Carbon-Monkey have the guiding experience and trail knowledge to give you a guided ride you’ll be reminiscing about for years to come.
Snowdon is a the real jewel in the crown of mountain biking in Wales. Not only is it the highest summit in England and Wales, but it offers some of the best big mountain trail riding in the UK and the most spectacular views across the National Park and Irish Sea. Snowdon has a voluntary access agreement for MTBers through the summer months, and due to it’s popularity (and the impact this has on the mountain) we only offer a very limited number of trips up Snowdon each year, these typically run in April and October (please see the calendar for dates).
Ridden the classic Welsh trail centres and don’t know where to head next? Found a few routes but don’t know which ones are worth your effort? We grew up on the trails of Snowdonia and know these trails well, so join us for a day of truly spectacular singletrack in Snowdonia.
Lakeland passes and fells
Big mountains, big views, equally big climbs and descents, but many have to be ridden the right way around to really get the most from them. Join us for a day of big mountain riding in the Lake District and we’ll show you some of the finest summits / passes, and as it’s the Lake District, almost every descent finishes at a picture postcard country pub.
The real Mecca of UK trail riding – Torridon is well known for it’s spectacular riding and jaw dropping views. We’ll show you the best routes and do all we can to help you dodge the midges. Due to the impact of biking in Torridon in overly wet conditions, we only offer guided trips here in the summer months.
Secret Cannock Chase
Cannock Chase is a magnet for mountain bikers throughout England and for good reason, it’s easily accessed and has some great trail centre trails – but once you’ve done them where else is worth the ride? We’ve spent years riding on the Chase and know the area well enough to link some of the best natural trails together with the best bits of singletrack to show you the secret side of the Chase.
