Carbon-Monkey is the UK’s first specialist mountain bike Duke of Edinburgh award provider, the UK’s most enthusiastic mountain bike holidays and guiding company and your gateway to a huge range of inspirational great fun activities.

Ethos:

Carbon-Monkey is all about being outdoors, riding, climbing, walking, paddling, caving, skiing… just enjoying the environment and doing sports we love.  It’s about sharing skills, thoughts and secret trails.  It’s about sharing experiences that make life richer.

Activities:

Anything we love doing and with a great group of like minded guides, instructors or facilitators in our phonebook we can organise anything you can dream of.

Aside from being a cycling and mountain bike specialist we also offer walking, climbing, kayaking, gorge walking, coasteering, bushcraft as well as our really WILD kids activity clubs.

Equipment Hire and Purchase:

Sometimes your adventures need more kit than you’ve got.  Sometimes you buy kit, use it once and then it sits in the shed collecting dust.  We want you to be able to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about finding the right equipment.  With this in mind we’ve got a range of equipment available for hire, and if you really will use it again we’ve got all the same great gear for sale.

1% for the Planet:

It’s about a life work balance and no matter how well we run our business its going to impact on the lives of others.  Hopefully that impact will be positive but for those impacts that aren’t always able to be positive we donate 1% of our gross, or 10% of our pre tax profits (whichever is greater) to grassroots environmental and/or social projects.  It’s our way of saying sorry for the grass we killed with that accidental skid, the air we polluted driving to the crag and wood we used on the camp fire.

Contact:

We’re only small so if you get in touch and we’re being a bit quiet on the phone or emails we’re probably away on expedition or the sun is shining and we couldn’t resist going for a ride.  Don’t worry, as soon as we’re back we’ll be in touch, if it’s urgent you’re welcome to try a text message, it might find its way into the mountains better than a phone call or email
