Night Riding

Last month we had a weeks riding joy up north which included a few brilliant night rides.  Somehow we forgto to share the photos and encourage you to get night riding too so here it is a little late…

If you’ve never tried night riding now is the time to do so, just be prepared to get addicted.

Since buying a healthy dollop of canned daylight that straps to my handle bars and lights up the world ahead I’ve been out tearing round the woods after dark having a blast.  I’ve done a fair bit of night riding over the years but never got hooked quite this badly before, now I find myself looking out the window waiting for dusk to appear before I start getting ready to ride.

On the Aviemore trip last month Jules, Bob and I had a few excellent rides after dark and on the Wednesday evening I went out for a (very fast paced) blast round the locals trails and wild bits of singletrack that is their local riding ground.

The buzz of hacking down a sweet stretch of singletrack usually can’t be bettered but to do it after dark makes it a whole different kettle of fun.
