a lap of Wales

In the last week i’ve done almost a full lap of Wales and with the bikes in the back of the car i’ve squeezed in a few cracking rides.

Cwm Rhaeadr, 6.7k of red graded fun, if you want to learn fast technical descents this is the place to go, its a climb straight up to the top followed by some of the best downhill around, includinga number of fast drops, bermed corners and rock / root sections.

Brechfa red, a great ride made even more wild by riding it in the dark.  Note to all, make sure the light mounting bracket is attached to the bike you’ve taken with you, not the one you left in the shed!  The final descent is definately not one to crash on but is packed full of narrow, fast, swoopy turns and jumps so if you want to get some confidence getting air our ‘learn to fly’ course based in Brechfa could be just the ticket.

Penmachno purple (?) (the new red extension.  In a nutshell Penmachno is narrow, rocky and technical, you’ll either low all the tech sections and pump the trail, or get your bones rattled loose inside.  We can help out here with a trail riding improvers course and by the end of the day you’ll be ready to take on anything.
